We provide a more cost-effective solution and helped the growth of the Millennium Line.
NEXT was approached for environmental consulting services on several property acquisitions for the construction of Skytrain stations on the Millennium Line, which initially required our professional consultation and opinion on remediation alternatives for what was originally perceived as a financially infeasible venture. NEXT was able to provide a more cost-effective solution, and helped the growth of the Millennium Line by remediation a former dry cleaning and fuel station business.
Due to our work with the Millennium Line, we were commissioned for our expertise on seven different properties for the Canada Line project, including remediation of several contaminated sites along the Cambie corridor in Vancouver and the No. 3 Road corridor in Richmond. Over the course of 5 years, we were able to obtain regulatory closure for all properties, due to our detailed but efficient approach to the investigation and remedial process, familiarity with the regulations.
Since then, we have been retained to work on a variety of transportation-related properties across the province, including due diligence assessments for potential future transportation corridors, Ministry of Transportation work yards, and remediation of high-density development sites near transportation centres.
